George Best

George Best was born in Belfast, Ireland on May 22, 1946. He played football (AKA soccer) for Manchester United in the Football League First Division. He won a European World Cup Medal and was named the European Footballer of the year in 1968. His career was finished by the time he was 25 years old. He attempted comebacks, but was unsuccessful. He died of causes related to alcoholism in 2005.
